For nearly 20 years, I’ve spent most of my time supporting kids and adults with learning and developmental disabilities. I started my career working with teens and young adults teaching them how to apply academics to employment skills, and various interpersonal skills needed to achieve and maintain employment. I also worked with kids of all ages in private and public school settings as well as lived in and supervised multiple residential programs for adults of all ages.
At Little Treasures Therapy, our approach is to factor in the individual, their home, family and school supports. Every individual and their needs are different and unique to them. If ‘it takes a village…’ we work with your village to address the areas of biggest concerns and needs. We use a data based approach to evaluate the effectiveness of our strategies and interventions and involve the individuals team throughout the learning process.
